Dr.Robin D. Listrom, DMD, DOMSA, MSc
Dr. Listrom obtained his dental qualification from the University of Saskatchewan. This was followed by a general practice residency at the University Hospital in Saskatoon. After two more years of general practice, he entered oral surgery training at the University of Toronto, where he obtained his Diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anaesthesia in 1981, a University of Toronto Fellowship in 1982 and a Medical Research Council Fellowship from 1982 – 1984. In 1984, Dr. Listrom obtained his Master of Science degree in the field of bone biology from the University of Toronto. He was actively involved with post graduate teaching in the Department of Oral Surgery at that university for over twenty years, the last ten of those years as an Assistant Professor. He continues to teach part time and is a clinical instructor in one of the post graduate clinics at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. He also has active staff appointments at Trillium Health Partners (Credit Valley, Trillium and Queensway Hospitals), Halton Health Care (Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital) and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab Hospital.
Dr. Listrom has been involved with implant related research and teaching since the introduction of osseointegrated implants to North America. He is one of the first Canadian Fellows of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
